Contemporary artist living and creating on the lands of the Kombumerri families of the Yugambeh Language Region, Gold Coast. 

Through his work, Kirac explores concepts of nostalgia, memory, shared experience and joy. Kirac’s practice is currently focussed on realising these themes as both character-based and abstract paintings.

In the works on show here, Instinctive use of colour and gestural mark-making manifest as abstracted landscapes.

Kirac's career spans over 25 years with work in the collections of HOTA Home of the Arts, National Library of Australia, NYC State Library and Louis Vuitton Asia Pacific, as well as private collections around the globe. Most recently, Kirac has been named as a finalised in the Harden Landscape Prize (2024) and The Darling Portrait Prize (2024).
